A message to clients, volunteers, staff and board:
As a response to the COVID - 19 and the recommended guidelines:
The office is closed until further notice. However, staff will continue to reply to phone messages, emails, and continue to work from home.
Court Diversion: If you are a client and have a case before the court, please call the office to speak with Sheri, or refer to the following link for information about the Ontario Court of Justice (OCJ).
The Perth Case Management Court Scheduling and Connection Details are available here for you. In addition, The latest announcements about criminal proceedings in the OCJ were updated on October 26th 2020.

As a response to the COVID - 19 and the recommended guidelines:
- We continue to accept referrals from the police and crown. All cases will be processed to the best of our ability, using restorative justice practices either by on-line forums, in person forums with physical distancing, or an alternative restorative process that includes victim participation.
- Free Group Teen Parenting On-Line Sessions begin in October - see events page for more details.
- All Restorative Families programming will be provided as case management needs arise.

COVID-19 UPDATE: A message to clients, volunteers, staff and board:
As a response to the COVID - 19 and the recommended social distancing guidelines:
Summary of Ontario Court of Justice (OCJ) Pandemic Planning: OCJ matters until May 29, 2020 will be adjourned. All family trials, criminal trials including matters under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and preliminary inquiries between Friday March 20, 2020 and Friday May 29, 2020 are suspended, subject to a judge seized with a continuing matter ordering otherwise. This applies to both in-custody and out-of-custody accused.

As a response to the COVID - 19 and the recommended social distancing guidelines:
- All police pre-charge and court diversion cases will continue using restorative practices. We are working to provide on-line restorative justice forums. We will continue to accept referrals from the police and the crown. Click on the link below regarding scheduling of criminal matters in the Ontario Court of Justice.
- All Teen Parenting Discussion Groups in Carleton Place and Smiths Falls are temporarily suspended, we are working to provide on-line parenting discussion groups.
- Our Program Coordinator continues to provide telephone support and case coordination for our Restorative Families Program. We are working to provide on-line parenting discussion groups.

Polar Bear Plunge COVID Notice
A note from our Lead Organizer:
We will be doing everything possible to ensure that 2021 Plunge proceeds safely with respect to COVID-19. We will follow all federal, provincial, municipal and local health unit protocols in place at the time. Accordingly, if needed we may implement the following precautions:
In that "second wave" scenario, if there is a clear and demonstrated emergency community need, we will consider diverting some, or all of the proceeds to that need.
So, let's hope for the best and plan for the worst.
Stay tuned - we'll keep updating as conditions and regulations change.

- limit the number of people plunging at a time to one or two, or households
- not allow spectators
- registration and changing area risk management for plungers
- cancel the breakfast and entertainment
