On Nov. 19th 2020:
Join us for a Radio Interview on Lake 88.1 @ 4:30pm. Guest Speaker Marlee Liss, Founder & Author of Re-Humanize, will be providing a brief recount of her experiences with the Restorative Justice forum that resolved her case. There is no registration required, we hope you'll tune in!

There are 2 Events taking place on November 26th 2020:
Event 1: Starting at 11am, join Marlee Liss and Crown Attorney, Cara Sweeney over Zoom where they will share the value of restorative justice to address sexual assault in the criminal justice system.
Event 2: Stating at 1pm, along with her mother, Barbie Liss, Marlee will lead a 2 hour Restorative Justice Integrated Workshop over Zoom.

Marlee has worked with countless beings internationally to inspire transformative healing. She published a book about her journey through sexual violence, trauma and transformation in 2017. Marlee is a rape survivor who participated in a Restorative Justice forum to resolve her case.

Marlee Liss founded the Re-Humanize Movement with her mother, in 2019 after experiencing a profoundly healing Restorative Justice process for sexual harm. Along with her mother, Barbie Liss, Marlee will lead a 2 hour Restorative Justice Integrated Workshop on Nov. 26th.

- Educational Component: What is restorative justice? We will be exploring the definition, principles, roots and benefits of Restorative Justice as well as addressing myths about it.
- Interactive Component: Participants reflect on themes of forgiveness, repair and accountability within their own lives. Restorative approaches to justice are explored within varying contexts of their own lives; embodied learning strategies include reflection through writing, partner/group sharing, and mindfulness practices, including meditation and visualization.
- Integrative Component: The group comes together to mastermind ways to implement restorative principles into their daily lives; participants collectively create a toolkit of strategies and potential actionable changes to implement restorative justices into their daily lives.
- Summation: Closing circle with space for sharing.
