Restorative Justice Fundraising Concert Series
Lanark County Community Justice (LCCJ) is pleased to launch its first Restorative Justice Fundraising Concert Series.
For over 20 years, LCCJ has been working with police, the Crown, and defense and duty counsel to deliver restorative justice forums for youth and adults in Lanark County. The results speak for themselves: quicker resolution of cases, lower recidivism rates, and more meaningful opportunities to repair the harm done to individuals and the community.
“Although partially funded by government and social services agencies, we need the support of individual donors and corporate sponsors to deliver our restorative justice programs across the county.” says Executive Director Joellen McHard.
With the energy and talent of local musicians, LCCJ hopes to raise $3,000 through three concerts taking place in April, May and June.

- The April 26th 7pm concert features Doug Barr, a local singer/songwriter with a passion for the environment, off-grid living and storytelling through original lyric-based music. A festival favorite here in Lanark County, Doug has years of experience writing music and performing for all ages. This event will be held at the Oakfield Rugby Club in Perth.
- On May 10th 7pm come enjoy LONG SAULT TRIO at Branch 244 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Perth. This trio was formed on the grassy banks of Long Sault Creek in McDonald’s Corners, and their music meanders through folk with hints of blues, jazz and traditional styles. Members include Lanark County locals Victor Maltly, David Tilston, and Linda Marie Grenier. A perfect event to celebrate Mother’s Day!
- The June 7th 7pm concert will feature the Lioness of Lanark, songstress Ali McCormick– Come to the newly renovated Ferguson Falls Community Centre to hear Ali’s heartwarming tales of growing up in Lanark County and her wanders into the far mountains of Western Canada.
